Scratch-building represents the pinnacle of aircraft model making, offering unparalleled creative freedom and the opportunity to create truly unique subjects.
This website showcases my work and aims to introduce a wider audience to what I believe is a fascinating, yet often overlooked, area of aviation modeling: classic airliners in 1/48 scale. Through extensive historical and technical research, I strive to achieve the highest possible level of accuracy in my representations. This is a considerable challenge, as the variety of cabin configurations and the scarcity of identified interior photographs make it difficult to definitively match an interior to a specific aircraft. Furthermore, the numerous operators and modifications performed on these aircraft over time compound the difficulty of accurately depicting a particular aircraft at a precise moment in its history.
I plan to publish a book on the models featured on this website within the next few years. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy browsing the model galleries. To provide more insight into the building process, I've created a blog documenting the construction of my current project: the Bristol Britannia.
